Comment:  The flag having been folded, the detail returns to the barracks area. Steven is on the far side of the column, more or less in the center. His entire head shows over the hat of the cadet between the camera and him Note - Having been the Cadet Sargent Major at Massanuten Military Academy, Steven had extensive experience dealing with flags. The cadet who comanded this detail was clearly not as experienced. The Citadel flew the largest "garrison" flag which is 20' by 36'. It should have been folded once more lengthwise before begining the triangular fold. The resulting folded flag was over 7 feet wide rather than the normal 3 1/2 feet. As this picture shows, it required "outrigger" cadets to carry the flag back to barracks. As a lowly "knob", Steven did say anything.
