This is a panoramic view of The Plain at West Point. It is the site of all parades and ceremonies, including the Graduation Parade. This panorama was made from 5 separate pictures taken about 9:30 on Friday Morning, 22 March 2009. This was an hour before the parade which started at 10:30. The Graduation Parade is one of a limited number of full Brigade parades that occur during the year. (The others are Acceptance Day Parade, and whenever the reviewing officer out ranks the Superintendent). The parade concept is rather straight forward: the Brigade forms up on the Plain; the graduating class marches out of the formation; takes a position in front of the reviewing stand; and the remaining Corps passes in review.
